remember when i said i didnt believe in bad omens

well if you read my last post about the how i almost got a ticket twice in the last 24 hours, you’ll be creeped out to know that i did finally get pulled over… 10 minutes ago…. and i had been drinking… well i didnt wanna drive. in fact i begged my drunk friend to stay the night, but she threatened to walk. i had to almost cry to get her not to walk at 3 in the morning back to her very VERY far away apartment. so i made her wait 45 minutes for me to sober up (but i had very little to drink but enough to be tipsy and uncomfortable driving). i was just afraid i would get pulled over and be like .081 BAC and get a DUI. i dont know how small or big that number really is. 

well low and behold, i did get pulled over (the police in my town play no effin games!)… for driving with my head lights off… i turned on my parking lights… i park facing my fence in my backyard so when i saw my fence light up i assumed my headlights were lighting them up, not my parking lights.

so how did i get out of this jam you ask? well. i happened to get pulled over in front of the catholic church i got baptized in, so of course i PRAYED! and i was SUPER calm! even though my hands were a little shakey when i handed over my info. i had been eating annie’s cheddar snacks so i smelled like cheese and not like alcohol. and i changed out of my contacts into my thick glasses and bummy sweats. so when i told the lady that my friend called me in the middle of the night for a ride, and only put on my parking lights out of tiredness, she BELIEVED ME! but seriously im the more sober than a person eating a poppy seed bagel. i likely did it out of tiredness.

and im not trying to condone being slightly not sober and driving. i would have NEVER gotten behind the wheel if my friend (who is more like my sister) didnt threaten to walk home by herself at this hour.

so even though i got pulled over for the first time, GOD IS STILL THE GOODEST FOREVERs!
